I nearly could keep my roadmap. Version 2.1.0 of BwPostman is published with only one day delay to the Roadmap.

Beneath some bugfixes there are a couple of innovations. Now You are able to show and print the stored and used data of a subscriber at the details of the subscriber at back-end. This is helpful, if a subscriber  wants to know, which data of him are used and stored.

Next is an option to compress backup of tables as ZIP. That is activated by default. This is useful, if You have major databases and want to restore them. The backup file quickly gets a size, which providers don't like at upload.

Newsletter templates now may be exported. With this You can create a newsletter template at one installation, locally in example, and import it at another installation, at web in example.

The 1-click-unsubscribe-solution is back. Not by default, but by option.

Further changes to BwPostman You can see at the Changelog. The manual is updated, certainly and there You get to know about the new possibilities of BwPostman and the whys.

Finally as usual my call for support:

Du You perhaps use BwPostman in another language? Or would You do so? Translators are always welcome! There once were helpful souls, which translated the language files of BwPostman to Japanese, Spanish and Italian. Perhaps You may add another language or update the existing ones? Then please get in touch with me.

I would illustrate the manual of BwPostman (PDF and web), because a picture paints a thousand words. But that is a lot of work and really not my core competence, to put it mildly. Here each help is more than welcome!

Perhaps You fell called on helping my tester and me? You have ideas to usability? Or new proposals, how to improve BwPostman? Just give it to me! ich konnte meinen Fahrplan für die Roadmap ziemlich einhalten. Die Version 2.1.0 von BwPostman ist nur einen Tag später erschienen als in der Roadmap angegeben.

Neben ein paar Bugfixes gibt es natürlich auch einige Neuerungen. So kann man sich die gespeicherten und verwendeten Daten eines Abonnenten in den Details im Backend anzeigen und drucken lassen. Das ist nützlich, wenn er Abonnent wissen will, welche Daten von ihm verwendet und gespeichert werden. Dann gibt es eine Option, mit der man die Sicherung der Tabellen als ZIP komprimieren kann. Das ist per Standard eingeschaltet. Das ist nützlich, wenn man größere Datenbestände hat und diese wieder einspielen will. Die Sicherungsdatei nimmt nämlich schnell eine Größe an, gegen die die Provider beim Upload etwas haben.

Newsletter-Templates können nun auch exportiert werden. Damit kann man auf einer Installation, zum Beispiel lokal, ein Newsletter-Template erstellen und auf einer anderen, zum Beispiel im Web, importieren.

Die 1-Klick-Stornieren-Lösung ist zurück. Nicht per Standard, aber per Option.

Die weiteren Änderungen an BwPostman kann man sich im Changelog ansehen. Das Handbuch habe ich natürlich auch aktualisiert und dort kann man auch manches zu den neuen Möglichkeiten von BwPostman und dem warum und wieso erfahren.

Zum Schuss wie üblich mein Hilferuf:

Verwendest Du BwPostman vielleicht in einer anderen Sprache? Oder würdest es gerne? Übersetzer sind jedenfalls immer gerne gesehen! Es gab mal hilfreiche Seelen, die die Sprachdateien von BwPostman auf japanisch, spanisch und italienisch übersetzt haben. Kannst Du dem vielleicht noch eine weitere zufügen oder die bestehenden Übersetzungen aktualisieren? Dann melde Dich doch bitte bei mir.

Ich hätte auch gerne Bilder im Handbuch zu BwPostman (PDF und Web), denn ein Bild sagt bekanntlich mehr als tausend Worte. Aber das ist eine Menge Arbeit und nicht so meine Kern-Kompetenz, um es gelinde auszudrücken. Hier ist mir jede Hilfe mehr als willkommen!

Vielleicht fühlst Du dich ja berufen, meinem Tester und mir ein wenig unter die Arme zu greifen?  Hast Du Ideen zur Usability, also der Bedienbarkeit? Oder neue Vorschläge, wie man BwPostman noch weiter verbessern kann? Nur her damit!
